We are delighted to share that our Co-Director of Elder Mediation Development, Lizzie Chan, and HKMS Member, Beginla Yue Sze-Hung will be speaking at the Hong Kong Mediation Week 2026 Seminar on Elder Mediation — co-organised by the Department of Justice and Hong Kong Family Welfare Society.
Lizzie and Beginla will join the panel discussion “Conflict to Care: Experience Sharing on Mediation in Elder Disputes” (10:35–12:05), exploring how mediation can ease caregiving burdens, resolve financial and care-related conflicts, and empower elders in decision-making — all within a private, collaborative and people-centred environment.
With more than one-fifth of Hong Kong residents now aged 65 or above, and that proportion set to grow significantly in the decades ahead, the need for compassionate, culturally sensitive approaches to elder-related disputes has never been more urgent.
Elder mediation offers exactly that — preserving family bonds while navigating some of life’s most complex transitions.
